Richard P. Hutchinson

Richard P. Hutchinson, 88, passed away peacefully July 16, 2026 at Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, MO surrounded by family.

Richard was born to Kenneth and Lena Mae (Evans) Hutchinson on September 25, 1937. He attended Tina School in Tina, Missouri all 12 years. He married Carol M. Kerns on October 19, 1958. He was a dairy farmer/farmer all his life. His happiest moments were when his family got together for family dinners and celebrations. He was on the Tina-Avalon School Board for several years. He was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church.

Richard is survived by his wife, Carol, of 67 years; 2 sons, Tim (Ruth Anne) Hutchinson, Bogard, MO, and Jeff (Susie) Hutchinson, Tina, MO; 2 daughters, Rhonda Hutchinson, Chillicothe, MO, and Marsha (John) Morris of Moberly, MO. He is also survived by a brother, Paul (Julia) Hutchinson of Chillicothe, MO; 8 grandchildren, Brian Hutchinson, Lindsay Whitmer, Brett Hutchinson, Emily Murphy, Sara Medlin, Rebecca Link, Amber Morris, Christopher Morris, and 1 step-granddaughter, Leigha Brouillard; 11 great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren, and 1 step-great-great-grandchild. He was also survived by several aunts & uncles and nieces & nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Lena Mae, his sister Delores Anderson, Lee Anderson, nephew Rickie Anderson, and nephew Dennis Hutchinson.
