One hundred four calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Tuesday, including an arrest following a traffic stop and a hit-and-run investigation. Police say a 38-year-old man was arrested in the 300 block of North Washington Street on charges of disorderly conduct and speeding. He was processed and later released.
Officers also investigated a report of a driver leaving the scene of a crash at Clay and Locust Streets, and that investigation remains ongoing. Other calls included a report of possible animal neglect that was determined not to involve criminal activity, assistance to the fire department on a medical call, help for a stranded motorist, and handling a complaint about a reckless dirt bike rider.
