Nearly 200 calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department over the weekend.
Friday: Officers investigated two non-injury traffic accidents, including a single-vehicle crash at Silver Moon Plaza and a two-vehicle collision at Highway 190 and Washington Street. Police also responded to a hit-and-run crash on Jackson Street that remains under investigation.
Saturday: A person with an active warrant turned themselves in and was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center. Later in the day, officers arrested a driver for DWI following a traffic stop near Danner Park.
Sunday: Officers investigated a domestic disturbance on Calhoun Street, where the woman involved declined assistance. A juvenile was arrested after being stopped for driving the wrong way and was cited for minor in possession of alcohol and marijuana. Police also continue to investigate a reported attempted break-in and protection order violation on Polk Street, and another driver was arrested on drug possession charges following an early morning traffic stop.
