Two crashes in the area counties left two with injuries over the weekend.
Sunday at about 6:00 pm in Carroll County, a Carrollton teen was injured in a UTV crash. State Troopers report the 16-year-old girl was westbound on West 7th at North Locust and had attempted a right turn. The UTV overturned, and she was partially ejected. She was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Saturday in Daviess County, a two-vehicle crash occurred at about 3:30 pm on Route F, a mile east of Jamesport. According to the Highway Patrol, a 49-year-old woman from Jamesport was stopped to assist a stranded motorist and was struck from behind by a 74-year-old woman who failed to notice the stopped vehicle. The 49-year-old was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton for treatment of minor injuries. The 74-year-old was not injured.
