A Brookfield man facing charges of alleged Possession of a Controlled Substance, Maintaining a Public Nusiance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia was sentenced in Linn County Court. Brandon Keith Bitzer entered a guilty plea to the first two counts and was sentenced by Judge Terry Tschannen. The sentencing includes 7 years in prison on the Possession of a Controlled Substance. That was suspended and he will serve 5 years of probation. On the Maintaining a Public Nusiance he was sentenced to 4 years in prison and that was suspended. He will serve 5 years of probation on that charge as well. The third count was dismissed.
