Area farm fields are at various stages, depending on the crop and planting date. Farm Service Agency Executive Director of Livingston County, Raysha Tate, says corn planting varied some, but there was a lot of early planting.
Good planting early for many.
Those that planted corn early are beginning harvest, or will be soon.
Tate says soybeans may have suffered a bit this year.
She says another fall crop in the county is Milo, but she hasn’t had much input on the crop conditions at this point. Milo is usually harvested in October for this area.
