Rape Charge Advances To Circuit Court

A Chillicothe man charged with alleged Rape has had his case moved to Circuit Court.  Forty-three-year-old Julio Cesar Lopez-Mendez was in Associate Court Tuesday for arraignment on the rape charge from June of this year.  Court records show Lopez-Mendez waived the right to a preliminary hearing.  Judge Michael Leamer bound the case over to Circuit Court, with arraignment scheduled for October 8th.

He remains in custody with no bond allowed.
