Drought Conditions In Missouri

Despite recent rainfall in the north and central portions of the state, drought conditions across Missouri have increased.

For the northern half of the state, the Missouri Drought Monitor shows mainly “Abnormally Dry” conditions, with the Northwest part of the state with no drought.

In the southern half of the state, the far southwest and the majority of Texas County are showing extreme drought.  Moderate and severe drought are shown for the remainder of the southwest quarter of the state.  The southeast is listed as mainly abnormally dry and no drought, except along the Arkansas border, where they are showing moderate and severe drought.
