Learn to manage forests and woodlands in a free program offered by the Missouri Department of Conservation. The MDC is offering the program on October 2nd, from Noon to 4:00 pm, at the Hundley-Whaley Research Center in Albany.
Attendees will discuss basic tree identification, the purpose and methods of forest management, how to perform a timber stand improvement (TSI), and the basics of invasive species identification and control.
There is a field component to this program so participants should dress appropriately for a walk in the woods.
