Sixty-two calls for service were handled by the Chillicothe Police Department on Wednesday.
Officers responded to several welfare-related calls, including a report involving a child and another involving a man who came to a home asking for food.
A mental health incident in the 300 block of Wise Street resulted in multiple officer responses and assistance from regional mental health services. Later, officers and deputies returned after reports of threats toward a service provider. One person was taken into custody.
Police also handled a trespassing complaint at a Cherry Street business and a disturbance Wednesday evening at Jackson and Broadway involving reported threats and a weapon. Further investigation is continuing.
