Livingston County Sheriff’s Department Report For September

The Livingston County Sheriff’s report for activities in September includes numerous incidents and arrests.

Deputies investigated the theft of fuel and hardware from a property on Highway 139, with charges being sought after security footage identified a suspect. Deputies also investigated a possible sexual assault near the Grand River. A suspect was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center pending formal charges, while another person involved was charged with assault.

Other September reports included the theft of a lawnmower in Ludlow, a stolen ATV, a dog bite, a domestic disturbance in Avalon, and a trespassing complaint that was forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Deputies also responded to an unresponsive person on Polk Street, who was found deceased from likely natural causes.

Three arrests were reported. David Keeling of Chillicothe was arrested on a Kansas warrant and was found with suspected methamphetamine. Chelsea Huffman of Chillicothe was arrested on a Livingston County warrant involving alleged burglary, drug possession and property damage. Hunter Lewis of Mooresville was arrested on a warrant alleging tampering and stealing a vehicle.

The report also notes deputies assisted Chillicothe Police with a DWI investigation and responded to a verbal domestic dispute at Pike’s Lake.
