Officers handled several welfare and juvenile-related calls, including two separate checks involving children, with both children found safe. Officers also investigated a violation of an active order of protection. One person was taken into custody and later transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
Police also responded to a report of a reckless driver near a park while buses were loading children following a sporting event. The vehicle had left before officers arrived, but police remained in the area to help ensure the children’s safety.
Other calls included a disabled parking complaint, suspicious activity that was determined not to involve criminal activity, an animal-control follow-up, and a report of a missing two-year-old that was quickly resolved after the child was located. Officers also conducted traffic stops, business and vehicle checks, and follow-up investigations.
