A crash on US 36 at Mitchell Avenue Saturday morning left three with injuries and closed down portions of the highway in Chillicothe.
Chillicothe Police handled the crash that occurred at 6:56 am, as a westbound semi struck the front of a vehicle at Mitchell, struck the guardrail in the median, and began to overturn, hitting a pickup in the eastbound lane. Another westbound vehicle ran into the trailer of the semi.
The driver who was first struck by the semi had moderate injuries. The driver of the eastbound pickup had serious injuries, and the driver who struck the trailer had minor injuries.
The truck driver was not injured.
Police and emergency personnel were on the scene for four hours.
