The special meeting of the Chillicothe City Council on Thursday included a closed session for employment contract negotiations.
Prior to the closed session, Mayor Theresa Kelly discussed the sunshine law that the City Council must follow. There were two specific sunshine law items. Kelly says the first was an emailed complaint.
It did not happen.
She says the second item was the discussion, by more than two council members, of items from a council meeting when not in session.
The mayor warned of the violation and will be seeking training for the council.
The mayor did mention they will be doing interviews for the City Administrator position next week.
