A standing room only crowd enjoyed the annual Fall edition of “Meet the Hornets” Monday night at the Chillicothe High School. A total of 226 athletes were introduced in seven sports, plus the cheer and dance teams. The Marching Hornets also entertained the crowd.
Of the 226 players introduced, 127 were girls including 28 Seniors, 21 Juniors, 37 Sophomores and 41 Freshmen, not including several freshmen girls that were cut due to excessive numbers. Of the 99 boys introduced, 17 were Seniors, 27 were Juniors, 28 were Sophomores and 27 were freshmen. There were also 22 head, assistant and volunteer coaches.
There was also was food and booster club sign-ups. The annual sale of the special “Redneck Parking Lot” spaces in the East lot took place after the introduction behind the visitors bench at Jerry Litton Memorial Stadium.
