Rader, Carins MEC champs, Team 2nd

The Chillicothe Hornets Wrestling Team have two champions and a second-place team finish in the Midland Empire Conference Tournament. Cameron won the team title with 340 points. Chillicothe was second with 213.5 followed by Savannah, Lafayette, Maryville, Benton, and KC St Pius.
For Chillicothe, Sheldon Rader won the 113-pound championship with two wins by pin and a 7-4 decision over a Cameron wrestler that had a 34-3 record.
Brody Carins was the champion at 152 pounds with a win by pin, a win by technical fall and a win over a Cameron wrestler 12-2.
Finishing Second for Chillicothe were: Brock Miller at 182, losing the championship to a Lafayette Wrestler with a 35-1 record and Wade Horton, losing to a Cameron wrestler by pin.
Finishing Third for Chillicothe were: Joel Edwards at 106, Bryce Dominique at 145, Dawson Sutton at 170, Lucas Reynolds at 195 and Christian Peniston at 285
Placing Fourth were Justin Pyle at 132 and Cayden Larson at 138
Placing Fifth was Gauge Chenet at 160.

The Chillicothe Junior Varsity competed in the Moberly JV tournament.
120 Logan Clark finished 2nd,
132 Gavin Funk finished 2nd
145 Cesar Mares won his division, going 5-0 with three wins by pin
285 Dilyn Ulmer finished 3rd.
