Livingston County Health Center’s Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program is the recipient of a “Loving Support Award of Excellence” from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). They are one of four agencies in Missouri to receive the award.
Anita Perry, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant at the Livingston County Health Center says the award is to recognize local agencies that have provided exemplary breastfeeding promotion and support activities.
Perry says breastfeeding helps not only the child, but also the mother.
