Pursuit of a vehicle that started in Linn County ended at the Grand River Overflow Bridge Tuesday evening. At about 6:10 pm, Chillicothe received a request for assistance from Linn County officials for a pursuit on US 36, headed west towards Chillicothe. Chillicothe officers were in position and deployed stop sticks, which were struck by the vehicle.
The vehicle continued westbound, losing a tire and continuing on the rim before it eventually came to a stop near the Grand River Overflow bridge.
The driver and passenger from Kansas City area were taken into custody. The report states a firearm was located in the vehicle.
Agencies involved were Marceline, Brookfield, Linn County, Highway Patrol, Livingston County, and Chillicothe Police.
