Five members of the Chillicothe Cross Country teams competed in the MSHSAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday.
In the boys state meet, Freshman Cain Evans finished 83rd in 18:10 and Austin Lyford, a Sophomore was 150th in a time of 19:21.5
A Southern Boone Junior was the champion in Class 3 in a time of 15:13.
For the Lady Hornets, Senior Kadence Shipers was 85th in a time of 21:52. Juliann Gabrielson, a junior, was 109th in 22:40 and Freshman Yoo Jung Lee was 117th in a time of 22:52.7. A Father Tolton Freshman was the medalist in 18:28.
There were 171 Class 3 Boys runners and 172 Class 3 Girls runners in the competition.
In Class 2 Girls, Brookfield’s Alex Sharp finished 5th
Hamilton’s Kortney Witherow was 65th out of 168 runners
In Class 1 Girls, Braymer finished 5th with 175 points:Valarie Demso 63rd, Cheri Basham 67th, Carly Cox 77th, Delanay Davies 96th, Korbin Cox 99th and Emily Ramsey 152nd.
Kendall Mccracken of Polo was 90th
Korrie Holcer of Meadville was 101st and Kendra Meyers of Meadville 124th
