The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 115 calls for service Thursday. Some of the calls include:
10:20 am, Subject calling in reference to a child climbing in their vehicle in the area of Webster and Elm Streets. Officers and parent located the subject and the child had snuck away from parent. The child was returned.
2:49 pm, Reported attempt was made to pass a counterfeit bill in the 700 block of Elm Street. The bill was seized.
3:02 pm, Officer stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of S. Washington Street for a traffic violation. It was found that the driver was the subject of an active warrant from Clinton County. The 41-year-old was arrested on the warrant for failure to appear, transported to the PD, processed and transported to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail, due to being unable to post an appearance bond.
6:06 pm, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East Bridge Street in reference to a domestic assault. Officers were able to speak to both parties and de-escalated the situation. Both parties were advised of the Missouri Adult Abuse Act and the 12 hour rule and agreed to separate for the evening. The male party left the residence as Officers cleared the call.
6:30 pm, Juvenile Justice Compliance Monitor in PD to speak with Officer. Officer handling call and speaking with the subject. PD found to be in compliance with requirements.
8:02 pm, Officers checking on reported trespassing in the 800 block of Calhoun Street. No one was located at residence on the original call. Return call at 9:27pm that the subjects are there at this time. Officers made contact and the subject’s family is obtaining medical assistance for the subject.
8:58 pm, Officers reported to the 100 block of E. Second Street where the residents had discovered a pistol in their yard. Officers recovered the pistol and brought it to the PD for safekeeping.
