A single vehicle accident on the ramp from Highway 6 to southbound US 65 left three people with minor injuries. The accident happened Sunday at about 6:20 pm, when 29 year old Julie Liberty was southbound and had a mechanical issue. He car went off the left side of the ramp and down an embankment, hitting the ditch. Liberty and her passengers, 11 year old David Holt and 8 year old Bravon Holt had minor injuries in the accident. They were all wearing safety belts and were taken to Wright Memorial Hospital for treatment.
State Troopers report three arrests in the local counties for the weekend.
Saturday at about 10:20 pm in Caldwell County, Troopers arrested 26 year old Cory McBee of Harrisonville on a Cass County warrant for alleged failure to appear on a charge of alleged domestic assault. He was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
Sunday at about 9:55 pm, Troopers in Caldwell County arrested 25 year old Austin Steele of Cameron for alleged speeding – 88 in a 65 zone and on a warrant for alleged failure to appear. He was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
In Linn County at about 11:10 pm, Troopers arrested 33 year old Jonathan Flaharty of Brookfield for alleged DWI, Driving while revoked and speeding. He was processed at the Brookfield Police Department and released.
