After a week off, boys golf was back to the links Tuesday night as they traveled north to Trenton. The dual took place at Riverside County Club.
Chillicothe’s top golfer was Jackson Trout who came in after 9 holes, 4 over. That was the best mark for any golfer.
James Mathew secured a 47, marking Chillicothe’s second best score. Andrew Hecker finished just one stroke behind Mathew with a 48.
Tyler Stephens was the fourth Hornets golfer with a sub-50 stroke count as he completed 9 holes in 49 strokes. Kyle Young had a 53 for the competition.
Trenton’s top golfer, Keifer Tolson, came to the clubhouse after 46 strokes. With Riley Gott as the next closest Bulldog with a 48.
The Bulldogs had three competitors with over 57 strokes.
A 184-217 victory improved the Hornets head-to-head record to 3-0 for the season.
They’ll compete in the Chillicothe Tournament this weekend out at Green Hills Golf Course. The event will kick off at 9am.
