On Saturday, Chillicothe High School’s track and field teams competed in the class 3 Sectionals at Odessa High School. CHS was represented 24 times in the sectional events. The top 4 from every event qualified to make the state competition.
Those who will continue on to state in Jefferson City this Friday include:
For the boys side, Braxten Johnson in the 300 meter hurdles (42.38 seconds), Tristan Forck in High Jump (1.79 meters), Charles Walker in pole vault (3.65 meters), Cy Evans in javelin (47.19 meters), and Demarcus Kelow in discus (47.37 meters) and shot put (14.75 meters).
For the girls, Kayanna Cranmer will head to state for the 400 meter dash (1:01.12 minutes) and 800 meter run (2:29.44 minutes) and the relay team of Cranmer, Kadence Shipers, Kayla Cakranata and Jolie Bonderer will head down for the 4 by 800 meter event (10:24.40 minutes).

5th for Jolie Bonderer in the 1600 meter run – 5:36.49 minutes
6th for Emmy Dillon in the 100 meter hurdles – 18.03 seconds
7th for Kayanna Cranmer, Anna Pfaff, Bronlyn Ward, Jolie Bonderer in the 4×400 meter relay – 10:24.40 minutes
8th for Anna Pfaff in long jump – 4.11 meters
6th for Sarah Boon in pole vault – 2 meters
7th for Kayla Cakranata in pole vault – 2 meters
5th for Hope Helton in javelin – 33.27 meters

8th for the relay team of Clayton Savage, Carter Shipers, Johnathan Sanchez and Cain Evans in the 4×800 event – 9:38.61 minutes
7th for Braxten Johnson in long jump – 5.77 meters
5th for Gavin Funk in pole vault – 3.20 meters
5th for Isaiah Sprong in discus – 40.20 meters
5th for Isaiah Sprong in javelin – 44.99 meters
