Fire damaged a home in the 200 block of Herriford Street Sunday morning in Chillicothe. Chillicothe Fire Department received the call just before 9:00 am and arrived on the scene at 9:02. They arrived to find everyone was out of the house and were told the fire was behind a bookshelf. Flames were coming from the porch and the living room area of the house. 2500 gallons of water and 20 gallons of foam were used the put out the fire and the fire crew also cut holes in the roof to ventilate. They also had to pull the ceiling down to put out hotspots. No injuries were reported.
They were on the scene for about two hours.
