Students entering Kindergarten are not always at a maturity level to begin learning in the same way as their classmates. The Chillicothe R-II Kindergarten will begin a program called Transitional Kindergarten to assist those students. Superintendent Dr Dan Wiebers says they have been working on the program for a couple of years.
The hope is to prepare the child to better participate in the education process from Kindergarten on.
