On October 31st deputies began an investigation of a burglary and theft at a property in Utica. The victim reported numerous tools and other items stolen. The investigation continues.
November 1st the deputies requested a sex offender move from a specific address due to proximity of a daycare. The offender is contesting the allegation. A report was sent to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.
Endangering the Welfare of a Child investigation began November 2nd in Wheeling. A young child could not be left at the home by the bus driver as no parent or guardian was around to care for the child. After several attempts to contact the parents the child was brought to the sheriff’s office until the child could be picked up.
Waterfowl decoys were reported stolen November 3rd, while the owner was at Fountain Grove Conservation Area. The investigation continues.
On November 4th, a traffic stop November 4t resulted in two Iowa residents arrested and drugs and paraphernalia seized. A deputy stopped a vehicle in Chillicothe for no vehicle registration and arrested 28-year-old Johnathan J. Hoskins for alleged possession of a controlled substance and 28-year-old Fulisha L. Blanshan for alleged Driving While Suspended/Revoked and Possession of Controlled Substance.
Forgery was reported November 5th. The victim alleged her check was improperly obtained from a location in Wheeling. Information has been collected from the retailer and will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.
November 7th, an investigation of possible trespassing or attempted burglary began in the western part of the county.
Arrests in the report include:
28-year-old Joseph Ryan Woody of Wheeling arrested November 2nd for alleged Driving While Revoked. He was processed and released.
Also on November 2nd, deputies arrested 32 year old Patrick Devin Cox of Chillicothe on a Caldwell County warrant for alleged Probation Violation. He was turned over to Caldwell County.
