The lighting of the 4th annual Memory Tree at Silver Moon Plaza this evening. Main Street Chillicothe is the organizer of the event that Pam Jarding says is to remember and honor those that have passed.
Jarding says the tree is decorated with clear ornaments that have a paper placed inside containing the name of the loved one.
There will be a brief ceremony, including children from First Baptist Church and a prayer before the lighting. They will also read the names of these that are remembered with the ornaments, with a bell rung with each name.
The Memory Tree Lighting and Dedication is tonight at 6:00 pm. Ornaments are available by calling Main Street Chillicothe at 646-4071. They will also have ornaments available on site.
