A nearly $9,000 grant from the Missouri Department of Public Safety will pay for in-car video recording equipment. The grant reimburses the city for the purchase.
Police Chief Michael Turk stated, “Prior to this grant, the department had zero in-car video recording systems and has not had any for a period of several years if ever.” Turk says, “The reason for the lack of this equipment was budget-related.”
