A local amateur radio club will participate in a nationwide event this weekend. North Central Missouri Amateur Radio Club President Paul Hurla says Field Day is an opportunity to test our preparedness.
Part contest, part testing our equipment, and an opportunity to get together.
The Field Day event will be held at Crowder State Park, from 1:00 pm Saturday to 1:00 pm Sunday. The club will be set up in the shelter near the beach. They invite the public to visit and even try out the Ham Radio activity.
Will have a radio set up for public use and someone to assist them.
The club hopes to contact others in the US and Canada by voice, digital, and possibly satellite.
