Officers conducted traffic stops, business checks and responded to 90 calls for service on Tuesday.
At 9:43 a.m., Officers conducted a drug investigation in the 1000 block of Graves St. Officers contacted a female, who attempted to evade officers, after officers discovered evidence of drug possession. Officers were able to detain the female and located evidence of distribution of a controlled substance. Officers arrested a 42-year-old female for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting detention/arrest and tampering with evidence. Officers also arrested a 26-year-old male for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The male was processed at the Police Department and released pending a court appearance. The female was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center and placed on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of formal charges.
At 8:19 p.m., Officers arrested a 42-year-old male for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license and a 37-year-old female for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at Green and Graves St.’s. The male was processed at the Police Department and released pending a court appearance. The female was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center and placed on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of formal charges.
