Deanna Sue (Veraguth) Luetticke 81, of Chillicothe, MO passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024, at her home.
Deanna was born the daughter of John Wesly Jr. and Evelyn (Teaford) Veraguth on June 2, 1943, in Cosby, MO. She graduated from Savannah High School in Savannah, MO in 1961. After graduation, she worked for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, MO. Deanna was united in marriage on June 21, 1964, to Robert (Bob) George Luetticke.
While raising her family, Deanna helped with the family businesses, then worked for the state of Missouri doing clerical work for several years prior to her retirement in 2005. She lived in Liberty, MO for almost 20 years, before relocating back to Chillicothe, MO in 2022. Deanna was a member of St. Columban Catholic Church in Chillicothe, MO.
While in Liberty, she enjoyed being involved with St. James Catholic Church, as well as the altar society. Deanna’s passion was helping others. After retirement, she spent several years volunteering at the Liberty Hospital gift shop and local non-profit thrift stores, as well as a yearly event (Forks & Corks) to benefit Harvesters Food Bank in Kansas City.
Deanna started piano lessons at five years old and continued to enjoy piano playing throughout her adult life. She loved listening to classic country oldies and spending time outside. Whether tending to her flowers or yard, watching her grandkids at sporting events, or taking a walk, Deanna was most comfortable in the outdoors. She loved her family dearly and her kids were her proudest achievement.
Deanna is survived by her children, David Luetticke of Chillicothe, MO; Scott Luetticke of Bogard, MO; Lori (Tim) Horton of Nixa, MO; and Doug (April) Luetticke of Tina, MO; nine grandchildren, Anna (Pat) Strueby, Ryann Horton, Gracie Horton, Libby Horton, Sophia Luetticke, Nash Luetticke, Haddie Luetticke, Ellie Luetticke; Creed Luetticke; one great grandchild, Lettie Strueby; one brother, Steve (Denise) Veraguth of Gower, MO; one sister, Ladonna Padgett of Rome, GA along with several sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesly Jr. and Evelyn Veraguth; the father of her children, Robert (Bob) George Luetticke; two brothers, Robert (Bob) Veraguth and Jack Veraguth; two nephews, Joey Nosek and Rusty Veraguth.
Memorials in honor of Deanna can be made to St. Columban Catholic Church or Bishop Hogan School.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 30, 2024, at 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home with Rosary at 6:00p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday July 31, 2024, at 10:00a.m. at St. Columban Catholic Church.
