34.41% of Carroll County registered voters cast a ballot in Tuesday’s primary election. That is 2,138 ballots cast.
There were two contested races in the election, both on the republican ballot.
For District 2 County Commission,
Kevin Brown received 435 votes
Charles Pence had 441 votes
Greg Flick received 142 votes
The winner is Charles Pence by a margin of 6 votes.
For Carroll County Sheriff
William Jewell McCoy 1,318 votes
Chad McRenyolds with 341 votes
Joni Yoder had 224 votes
McCoy is the winner in the primary.
Both are unopposed in the November election.
