27.87% of Caldwell County voters cast a ballot Tuesday in the Primary Election. That is 1,789 ballots cast.
The Caldwell County ballot included two contested races, both on the Republican Ticket.
For Eastern District Commissioner
Randy Howell received 413 votes
Jonathan Abbot had 246 votes.
Howell is the winner for Eastern District Commissioner.
For Western District Commissioner
Rex Hibler received 555 votes
Alan Doan had 243 votes
Hibler wins the Western District Commissioner race.
Neither will have an opponent for the November election.
