Two crashes in the area counties resulted in minor injuries Tuesday.
At about 9:10 am in Ray County, a 9-year-old girl was injured when the car she was riding in, driven by 46-year-old Stephanie Woolfolk of Richmond, slowed and then stopped for animals in the roadway on Highway 10 at Mockingbird Lane and was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Antonio Perez of Cowgill. The drivers were not injured.. the girl was taken to Ray County Memorial Hospital.
A Polo woman had minor injuries in a single-vehicle crash at about 11:30 pm in Livingston County. State Troopers report 22-year-old Mary A. Barnett was westbound on LIV 2164 near LIV 235 – a mile west of Chillicothe – and did not make it through a curve. She ran off the west side of the road and went down an embankment. She was taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment.
