A Marceline man found guilty on 10 counts of Statutory Sodomy and 5 counts of Child Molestation is sentenced to a total of 275 years in prison. Forty-nine-year-old Shane Allen Ware was found guilty in a jury trial where deliberations lasted just 26 minutes.
The judge sentenced Ware to 20 years on each of the Statutory Sodomy charges and 15 years on each Child Molestation charge. The sentences are to run consecutive to each other.
Ware has asked for and received permission from the court to file for an appeal as an indigent person and is unable to pay docket fees, costs, and expenses. A public defender will be assigned to represent him in that process.
