The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 66 calls for service on Tuesday and 51 on New Year’s Day. Some of the calls include:
Tuesday:
10:17 AM Officers assisted with an arrest made by probation and parole officer in the 10 block of Washington.
11:40 AM Officers received a report of theft from a business in the 700 block of Elm.
03:09 PM Officers attempted a warrant service in the 1400 block of Polk Street.
09:24 PM Officers received reports of gunshots in the 1200 block of Monroe. No evidence of gun fire was seen or heard while officers were present.
Wednesday,
01:26 AM Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Vine and Webster that resulted in the arrest of a man for DWI.
08:54 AM Officers took a report of property damage in the 200 block of Cherry in which tires were damaged on a vehicle. Investigation continues.
12:40 PM Officers attempted a warrant service in the 800 block of St. Louis.
02:08 PM Officers took a report of trespassing involving juveniles in the 1400 block of Vine Street. Report will be forwarded to the juvenile office.
11:20 PM Officers responded to the 400 block of Vine Street for a report of a person knocking on a door demanding to see a person who did live there. Officers detained the person and found he had two active warrants for his arrest from Davies Country. He was taken to Caldwell County Detention Center to await extradition. No local charges pending.
11:34 PM Officer took a report of a possible theft from a business in the 600 block of BUS. 36. A suspect has been identified and the investigation continues.
Officers also conducted traffic stops, business checks, paper service, and followed up with numerous investigations.
