Patsy Sue Jenkins 80, of Wheeling, Missouri, passed away on January 2, 2025 at Livingston Manor in Chillicothe, MO. Patsy was born on December 2nd, 1944 to parents, Pearl Robert Simpson and Mary “Louise” Simpson who loved her with all their hearts.
Patsy married Gary Gordon Jenkins and shared a beautiful life together until his passing in 2015.
Patsy enjoyed gardening and raising beautiful flowers that captured everyone’s eyes. She was an expert shopper who could always find the best deals even when no one thought there were any. Most of all Patsy loved spending time with her family. She loved watching her children and their children live their lives and cherished every moment that she got to be a part of it. Patsy will be forever loved and missed by her wondrous family.
Patsy is survived by her sons, Gerald Gordon Jenkins and his wife Shirley of Chula, MO, Randall Dwayne Jenkins and his wife Lisa of Chillicothe, MO. Her daughter, “Suzy” Kathleen Louise Rick and her husband Steve of Meadville, MO. One sister, Shauneen Denton and her husband Ernie of Chillicothe, MO. Eight grandchildren, Brandy Barclay husband Jarod, Matthew Jenkins wife Michelle, Nichole Kasey husband Tim, Derek Jenkins wife Gina, Billy Jenkins, Kelsey Martin husband Jacob, Tessa Rick, Scotta Meek and husband Andrew. Patsy also has twenty great-grandchildren, Lydia, Riley, Charlie, Aiden “Adam,” Timber with wife Lily, Jaid, Spencer, Logan, Alexia, Luke, Liam, Ruger, Raiden, Ryken, Rian, Kaysin, Fynlee, Remi, Hudson and Hadlee. Along with her great great grandson Wilder Allen Wayne Hinnen who is due in May. As well as her sister-in-law Vicki Marrs and brother-in-law Jerry Marrs of Chillicothe, MO. Alongside several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded by her parents, Pearl Robert and Mary “Louise” Simpson, her husband, Gary Gordon Jenkins, three brothers, Pearl Junior Simpson, Buddy Robert Simpson, and Billy Wayne Simpson. Her five sisters, Helen Matchett, Joyce Dawkins, Jean Stuver, Wanda Sickler, and Marsha Locke. Along with her son Craig Steven Jenkins and great grandchild Parker Lee Steven Hinnen. Her mother and father in laws, Kathleen Jenkins Hale, and Gordon Jenkins. Step-father-in-law, George Hale and a step-brother-in-law, George Wesley Hale.
A private Celebration of Life was held by the family on January 7th, 2025.
Patsy Jenkins will be laid to rest in Wheeling cemetery following the celebration.
