Appeals Court Judge Tom Chapman has been in the position on the Western District Court of Appeals since early November and took a moment to talk to KCHI about the experience so far. Chapman says he’s found it enjoyable.
As part of his duties on the Court of Appeals, Chapman says he has already been asked to sit on the Supreme Court for a day.
To accept the position on the Western District Court of appeals, Chapman had to relinquish his seat on the 43rd Circuit Bench. He was asked by Ryan Horsman, who was appointed to fill the remainder of the term, to handle the swearing in of Horsman, which he gladly accepted.
