The Chillicothe Police Department report for Friday through Sunday includes several investigations and arrests.
Friday:
1:45 AM, Officers responded to the intersection of Second Street and Washington Street for a report of an assault. The suspect fled before police arrival but has been identified and the investigation is still ongoing.
5:44 and 5:52 pm, Officers responded to the area of 3rd and Washington Street and Mohawk and Washington Street for reports of power lines down. Officers found no powerlines down but did observe some damage to poles. Utility companies were notified.
Saturday:
12:50 AM near Elm and 3rd Street Officers conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.
9:26 AM, A person came into the Chillicothe Police Department to turn themself in on a Caldwell County Warrant. They were able to post the bond amount and were released.
10:15 AM, Officers spoke with a man at the Chillicothe Police Department about theft of services. The service provider had failed to uphold their end of the agreement and had taken payment. Officers collected information and will be investigating the matter.
Sunday:
6:03 AM, Officers responded to the 2600 block of N Washington Street in reference to an intoxicated man attempting to steal merchandise and yelling at staff members. The male subject had a warrant out of Platte County and was arrested and transported to Caldwell County Detention Center.
10:07 PM, Officers responded to the 300 block of Washington Street for a report of an unsecured business. Officers checked the business and secured it.
