Highway 13, from Hamilton to Kingston, is open to traffic. The project began in May of 2023 and MoDOT and their contractor opened the road Thursday.
There is still additional work that needs to be finished before the project is complete, including diamond grinding to smooth the road surface and shoulder work.
Those tasks will be done under a single-lane closure with flaggers directing motorists through the work zone. The remaining work is expected to be completed by early October.
