Why Does The City of Chillicothe Need A New Police Facility?

The City of Chillicothe is working towards the construction of a new Police Facility.  City Administrator Roze Frampton explains the reason for a NEW building as opposed to renovating the existing facility.

Impractical and very expensive.

Frampton says the current building does not provide the adequate space needed for offices, holding, storage, and dispatch requirements.

She says the new facility provides the space to meet the department’s requirements.

A little larger and will provide more adequate space and efficiency.

The new Police Facility will be built on city-owned property, adjacent to the police department’s parking lot at Webster and Cherry Streets.

On Wednesday, Frampton will talk about the financing of the project.
