Commission To Fill Health Center Board Opening By Appointment

An opening on the Livingston County Health Center Board of Trustees could be filled by appointment as early as the end of this month.  Livingston County Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says the process begins with receiving letters of application.  Douglas says they already had six applications.

They have advertised to accept letters of application.

The letters will be accepted through October 25th.  Douglas explains the next steps in the process.

Will interview candidates and make the selection.

Douglas says the decision will be made by the County Commission.

It’s statutorily a County Commission decision.

The appointment will be through the remaining unexpired term.  The Health Center Board will be up for election in April, with three of the five seats on the ballot.

The County Commission will accept letters of application for the board position at the County Clerk’s office through October 25th, no later than 4:30 pm.
