The Chillicothe Lady Hornets Volleyball team was entering their home match against conference foe Savannah 16-2 overall while riding a nine game winning streak. Chillicothe held an MEC record of 3-1 while Savannah was 3-2, so a top 3 place in the conference standings was on the line. Chillicothe and Savannah played every set down to the wire as every one was decided by 3 points or less. Unfortunately for the Lady Hornets, they were on the wrong side of the score, falling 22-25, 23-25, 23-25.
The Lady Hornets are now 16-3 overall, 3-2 in the MEC and will play in the Lawson Spikefest on Saturday before hosting Benton in another pivotal conference clash on Monday.
