Actions Taken In Monday Chillicothe City Council Meeting

The Chillicothe City Council had a short agenda Monday.  The meeting began with the payment of invoices and payroll.

Mayor Thereasa Kelly made a recommendation to reappoint Corine Watts to the position on the Planning and Zoning Board.

Chillicothe Police Chief Jon Maples presented the request for the destruction of records as permitted by the State of Missouri.

Select MIBRS, Citations, Incident files, and juvenile files

Maples says they are working to clear out the records ahead of a move to the new Police Facility.  The department has not disposed of records for many years and Maples says he expects to make additional requests.

The Council also approved the bid for the demolition of the house at 1826 Clay Street.  The demolition will be done by Perkins Dozing and will include asbestos abatement and removal of the structure at a cost of $13,500.  The city will also apply for a local grant to cover part of the cost.
