Thursday night was quite the battle for the Chillicothe Lady Hornets looking for a conference win over Maryville. The Spoofhounds were out for revenge after Chillicothe defeated them on Saturday in Lawson, 3-0. After winning the first set 25-18, the Lady Hornets dropped two in a row, 15-25 and 21-25. With their backs against the wall Chillicothe responded with wins of 25-19 and 15-10 to take the marathon match.
In addition to a hard-fought win, Chillicothe also celebrated 6 great seniors who have helped build the CHS Volleyball program. “A big congratulations to these six on successful CHS Volleyball careers and all the best to these ladies in all they do,” said Coach Beetsma.
The Lady Hornets close out the regular season 22-3 with a 5-2 record in the MEC, the conference mark is the best in the 30 year program history.
