The Chillicothe Lady Hornets golf team spent Monday and Tuesday competing in the Class 2 Golf State Championship in Nixa, MO at Freemont Hills Country Club. Despite the challenging course and fierce competition, the Lady Hornets placed 8th in the state finals, a team total of 855.
Gracelynn Barnett had the best score for Chillicothe with a 36 hole, 2 day total of 201 on the course. Barnett’s score landed her 32nd overall. Lyla Oesch finished 45th with a 207, while Presley Rardon’s 218 netted 61st, Caylee Anderson was 77th with a 219 and Ava Lance placed 90th shooting a 267.
MICDS won the Class 2 State Championship with a team score of 684. Emree Dawn Cameron of Nevada was the individual winner with a 146, four over par on the tournament.
