Chillicothe Hosting SOMO Polar Plunge February 1st

Special Olympics Missouri invites you to participate in the “Coolest” event of the year.  The Polar Plunge will be held in Chillicothe on February 1st at Simpson Park.

The 18th Annual Chillicothe Polar Plunge is a winter tradition where participants take a chilly dip in support of Special Olympics Missouri.   All proceeds of the event benefit the training and competition for thousands of athletes statewide, including many in the North Area.

The Chillicothe Correctional Center is the host of the Chillicothe event, which is open to individuals 10 and older.  Registration begins at 11:30 am, with the plunge at 1:00 pm.  Each participant must raise a minimum of $75 to join and can earn incentives, including a commemorative shirt and other rewards based on fundraising achievements.  Online Registration is available.
