USDA Farm Service Agency or FSA has a couple of programs that are in the sign-up phase. Livingston County FSA Executive Director Raysha Tate says these are the Agriculture Risk Coverage or ARC and the Price Loss Coverage or PLC. Tate says they are separate programs but are also part of the same program. You can only sign up for one of the programs.
ARC looks at yield and price / PLC only looks at price.
Producers may select a program depending on the amount of risk they choose to take.
