Crash Leaves Four With Serious Injuries

A single-vehicle crash in Chariton County Thursday evening left four people with serious injuries.  State Troopers report the crash occurred about 8:53 pm on Highway 11, two miles north of Rothville.  According to the report, the driver, a 20-year-old Brookfield man, was southbound and ran off the left side of the road and the car overturned.

The driver was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield.  An 18-year-old woman from Brunswick was taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe, and two men from Brookfield, 22 and 25 years old, were flown to University Hospital in Columbia.

They were not wearing safety belts.
