The Chillicothe Hornets boys tennis team earned a hard fought victory over Midland Empire Conference foe Cameron.
Chillicothe opened the duel in excellent fashion, winning all three doubles matches. Pina and Covert got the best of the Cameron #1 doubles team in a tight 9-7 contest. In #2 doubles, Chapman and Snider won 8-3 and Lee and Citron took #3 double 8-1.
The Hornets then needed just two of the 6 singles matches to win as a team. #3 singles Hayden Chapman delivered an 8-1 victory, and at #6 Dustin Citron won 8-2. The Dragons won the remaining matches but Chillicothe recorded the team victory 5-4.
